Steve started his career by founding Johnson-Grace Company, which developed a patented compression technology that made fast, easy distribution of images, sound and video a reality for millions of consumers. AOL purchased Johnson-Grace and made Steve Vice President of its Software and Technology Development division where he brought leading-edge media, telephony and broadcast products to market. Subsequently, he founded ChoiceStream to help consumers navigate through this new era of easy access to virtually infinite choices.
John Huggins
President, Co-Founder
John J. Huggins is an active angel/venture capital investor in technology and other startup companies. He also serves as a real estate development and financial advisor to businesses and non-profit organizations seeking public participation in community and economic development projects. He co-founded and was CFO of Johnson-Grace Company. John has long been involved in civic activities, including national, state and local political campaigns for candidates and issues. He has raised millions of dollars for a variety of civic causes and organizations. John holds a Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Political Science from the University of Chicago.
David Lippke

Justin has over two decades of expertise in healthcare technology and sales leadership, primarily focused on emerging technologies. With an intimate understanding of the industry's intricate challenges and opportunities, he specializes in leveraging technology to enhance business processes. Justin holds a Bachelor of Science in Health and Sports Medicine from the University of North Florida. Earlier in his career, he worked as a certified athletic trainer in diverse settings, including the NFL, MLB, acute care, and DME provider. His subsequent transition to the commercial side of healthcare led him to leadership positions at Enovis and Medallia. Throughout his career, he consistently spurred revenue growth, cultivated strategic partnerships, and introduced emerging technologies to the market. Justin remains passionate about humanizing healthcare, empowering providers, and suppliers to enhance the overall patient experience.

Holding an MBA in Corporate Finance from Pace University and a BBA in Accounting from Baruch College, Yameen excels in strategic financial planning, system modernization, and risk management. His expertise includes leading finance transformations, optimizing performance, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Yameen has a proven track record of collaborating with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to drive financial efficiency and accuracy, exemplified by his successful roles in companies like Whisps, Axovant Sciences Limited, Vice Media and many more.

Rachel is a healthcare operations and strategy leader with experience across three healthtech start-ups, two health systems, and one payer. She specializes in building scalable, efficient processes, fostering collaboration among disparate departments, and supporting a positive company culture. Rachel holds an MBA and Masters of Engineering Management from Northwestern University and a BA in Computer Science from Wellesley College.

Sarah joined Notable Systems as a Software Engineer in 2015 after receiving her Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from Cal State, Long Beach. Sarah is an incredibly skilled engineer as well as a dedicated customer success manager for Notable Systems and has directly contributed to onboarding each of our enterprise customers over the years and developing groundbreaking new solutions for the DME market.

Kevin has more than a decade of signal processing and visualization software experience. In his previous position at a small business he brought to life cutting edge radar technology, providing customers with new ways to see and interact with their data. Kevin enjoys writing software that works closely with hardware systems. He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science with an emphasis in Computer Graphics and Visualization from the University of California, Irvine.

With over two decades of experience in customer relationship management, Michelle Campbell currently leads our customer onboarding as Senior Account Manager at Notable Systems. Her extensive tenure has equipped her with an understanding of client relationship development and account oversight. Prior to joining Notable Systems, Michelle primarily focused on enhancing customer satisfaction and driving operational success in the telecommunications sector. Michelle works closely with our Business and Development teams to ensure that Notable Systems is onboarded seamlessly into our customer’s workflow and ensures ongoing support that exceeds their expectations.
Ruben Johnson

Ruben brings a unique flavor to Notable Systems. After studying film at USC and working for years in documentary film and television, his first exposure to tech was a stint running social media marketing for a sports media startup. He then transitioned to the food and beverage industry, spending a decade as a brand ambassador and account executive in the craft spirits industry (becoming a sommelier along the way). He has run business development at Notable Systems since 2021, achieving remarkable growth in that time. Ruben is currently working towards his MBA at the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Barry Appleman

Barry Appelman is recognized as being the father of the "buddy list" and AOL instant messenger (AIM), which at its peak served over 53 million users worldwide. Appelman joined AOL in 1993 to head up all of AOL server and host development efforts. He has authored many innovations and over 75 patents.

James T. Caillouette, M.D.
James T. Caillouette, M.D. is a board certified orthopedic surgeon and a founder of both Newport Orthopedic Institute and the Hoag Orthopedic Institute, where he serves as Chairman. He has developed, patented and commercialized multiple orthopedic devices and instruments over the past 28 years and is currently consulting worldwide for DePuy/Johnson and Johnson. He is a passionate leader in healthcare economics and reform, and in the design of next generation hip and knee implants.
Steve Fredrick
Steve’s career spans engineering, company building and early-stage investing. Prior to Grotech, he was a General Partner with Novak Biddle Venture Partners investing in early-stage software and communications equipment companies. Steve began his career in research and development with IBM and then joined a venture-funded software company in the document imaging space called Vantage Solutions, which was acquired in 1994. Steve subsequently co-founded software development firm MartinScott before moving to venture capital in 1997.

Formerly the Vice President, Strategy and Innovation for Thermo Fisher Scientific, Maggie currently serves on the board of BioPorto, Inc, a diagnostics company and Jellagen, a developer of novel clinical biomaterials. She also advises both early-stage healthcare innovators and Fortune 500 companies on corporate partnerships, new product strategy and commercial execution.

Christoph Wald, MD, PhD, MBA, FACR
Dr. Wald chairs the Department of Radiology at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center (LHMC) since 2015. Since 2018 he also chairs the Robert E.Wise Institute, which is the LHMC endowment fund for research and education. After undergraduate medical training at Bonn University, Germany, and Aberdeen Medical School in Scotland, he continued postgraduate training in Switzerland, Scotland, Germany, moving to the US full time in 1998. He completed radiology residency and fellowship at Lahey in 2003 and stayed on staff. In 2015, he graduated from the F.W.Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College in Boston with an MBA. Institutional leadership roles included a decade as Vice Chair of the Medical Education
department and the Graduate Medical Education Committee, 9 years on the LHMC Board of Governors, and many years in various Lahey medical staff officer roles, including medical staff
president for LHMC from 2016-2018.

Christopher Grace, an angel investor, was the co-CEO and co-founder of Johnson-Grace Company (Irvine, CA), which pioneered data compression and streaming Internet technology. The company was acquired by AOL in 1996. Prior to founding Johnson-Grace, Mr. Grace was the head of economic development for St. Louis and a senior development official in Boston. He holds degrees from the University of Virginia (B.S., Finance), Stanford University (J.D.), and Harvard University (M.P.P.).

Ilana is an experienced business leader and a successful entrepreneur. Ilana developed, launched and managed a new snack business, Whisps. Under her leadership, Whisps grew into a $40MM brand in less than 3 years, at which point Ilana quarterbacked the sale of the business to Kainos Capital in 2019. As CEO of the new company, Ilana oversaw the carve-out of the business from Schuman in less than 6 months, built a completely new team, and more than doubled the size of the business, securing new distribution in grocery, club, convenience and mass channels. She also won Comparably’s “Best CEO” award, and Whisps was recognized for “Best Company Culture,” both based on anonymous employee feedback.
